What is the history & origin of the Corgidor?

A Corgidor is a mixed breed designer dog that has existed prior to intentional breeding; the parent breeds are a Labrador Retriever and a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. To date, a detailed history of this popular crossbreed is not available, but it's thought to originate in the early 1900s.
