WIRU is a small, home-based kennel in Ballarat specialising in breeding sound, happy smooth collies with occasional rough collies, focusing on both show quality and sporting abilities including herding and obedience. They breed dogs suitable for various activities from tracking to agility, whilst ensuring they make perfect family companions.
The kennel began their journey with smooth collies in 2008 with Ch. Jencol Swing Ona Star PT ‘Nessa’, and produced their first collie litter in February 2012. They have experience with multiple breeds, having previously bred Border terriers, and have successfully raised show-quality dogs including their own ‘Ryder’ (Wiru Let It Ride).
