VELDTHUND is a Rhodesian Ridgeback breeder situated on seven rolling acres in the picturesque Hawkesbury Valley, one hour’s drive from Sydney CBD. They focus on breeding for quality over quantity, striving for the highest standards of correct conformation and sound temperament by combining top Australian and USA bloodlines.
VELDTHUND has been involved with Rhodesian Ridgebacks since 1984, with their dogs achieving significant success including their Ch Veldthund Sabre ET earning multiple Best in Show awards and becoming the first Ridgeback in NSW to gain an Endurance Title. Their more recent champion Ch Marmatia Gunella Gusto continued their winning tradition, taking Best of Breed at the 2011 Sydney Royal and Best in Show Specialty in 2011.
