TAIGAKOIRA is a Finnish Lapphund breeder located north of Melbourne, maintaining a deliberately small kennel to provide individual attention to their dogs who are considered family members. They focus on breeding for temperament, type and health, conducting comprehensive health testing including PRA, Pompes screening, ACES eye testing, and hip and elbow grading.
TAIGAKOIRA has been breeding and showing Finnish Lapphunds since 2008, producing multiple Best in Show champions, dog sports and trial champions, as well as family pets. They are registered breeders with DogsVic and hold accredited breeder certification under state legislation, whilst also working closely with breeders locally and internationally to improve breed diversity.
