Carnwath is a renowned dog breeder in Melbourne specialising in Havanese dogs, incorporating European and American bloodlines alongside Australian lines with a focus on health and temperament in their breeding program. All their breeding dogs undergo comprehensive health testing including patellae luxation, heart, and eye examinations, with imports and foundation dogs also receiving hip scoring.
Operating since 1978 and introducing Havanese in 2002, Carnwath has produced over one hundred Champions throughout their 46-year history. The breeder is a qualified Toy Breeds judge, Life Time Member of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of Victoria, and foundation member of the Victorian Bichon Related Breeds Club.
